- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2+ years RN experience required; must be experienced in direct open heart admissions from OR, cardiac surgery skills, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT 2. Cases: MUST HAVE ACT (Activated Clotting Time) experience; direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR, pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through American Heart Association (AHA); copies required in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights, weekdays, weekends; may occasionally float to Medical ICU or Step Down Unit 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submittal; blocked schedules only considered if requesting weekends only (Fri, Sat, Sun or Sat, Sun, Mon) 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as traveler; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible 10. Travel/Local: Candidates must have permanent address 100 miles from facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license reviewed case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Non-billable; average 8 hours completion time; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required 14. Scrubs: None provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16.
