- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 36 months RN experience required, with at least one year in an ICU 2. Cases: ICU experience required; Prior CVICU experience noted; post-op day 0 CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, advanced hemodynamics, neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, EVDs, bolts (Codman), Arctic Sun with induced hypothermia; ability to manage ventilator patients and read telemetry strips; CRRT and phlebotomy skills needed; nurses administer breathing treatments (inhalers and nebulizers) outside ICU 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale required; must be included in submission packet; TNCC preferred; advanced certifications preferred 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Meditech; one previous travel assignment in a Meditech facility preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week including every other weekend; travelers float first and may be sent to ED or PCU; bedside shift report required on every patient at each transfer of care 8.
