- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required for submission 2. Cases: Required - Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella insertion, Interventional Catheterizations, Left heart catheterization, PCI, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Right heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Sheath Removal/Monitoring. Preferred - TAVR, ASD Closures, Valvuloplasty, Watchman procedure, Angioplasty, Carotid Stenting, Endovascular Interventions, Stent Graft Placement, and others listed under preferred skills 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross (per standard compliance) 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic, MAC LAB, CUPID, Pyxis (documentation systems in use) 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10 shifts, 0730-1800; some early shifts 0630-1700; one designated late shift per week (complete last patient of day); call 1 night per week; 1 weekend every other month (noted as every 5th or 6th weekend in scheduling details); float as needed 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing; any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could result in cancel and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees (perm/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name and dates employed; facility approval needed. Current travel per diem clinicians are not eligible for travel contracts — must choose one; include status and intent in submission 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius; locals accepted at lower rate 11.
