- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required for submission 2. Cases: Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, structural heart, cardiogenic shock, ECMO, orbital atherectomy, rotational atherectomy, IABP, Impella, OTC, flow wire, manifold, sheath pulling, and all other cath lab adjuncts; proficiency with XPER required to monitor cases 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCIS required; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by standard); scrub certification required 4. License: State-specific license in hand required at time of submission; current driver's license must be included to confirm address for local radius rule 5. Education: Education verification through a third-party required; facility will not accept education from schools on the Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit list 6. EMR: Epic experience REQUIRED; Philips monitoring equipment experience noted; proficiency with XPER and Epic's CUPID required to monitor cases 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s, Days, 7a-5:30p, Monday-Friday with lates required a few times per month; STEMI call required — approximately one week of call over a 12-16 week period, including 24 hours on a Saturday and 24 hours on a Sunday; half nights (5:30pm-9pm) and full overnight call (5:30pm-7am); must be prepared to arrive and be ready to work within 30 minutes of STEMI activation; holidays as needed 8. RTO: RTO due at time of submission; RTO after submission will not be accepted; only one pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius; no locals accepted; current driver's license must be submitted to confirm address 11. Background: Facility will not accept any open cases on the background check 12. Modules: Non-billable; average 2-4 hours; completed during orientation, not included in NBO; hours vary by unit 13. Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Scrubs required and provided by the facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: All cardiac cath and vascular equipment; Philips monitoring equipment; IABP, Impella, ECMO, OTC, flow wire, manifold Critical: All RNs required to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance regardless of specialty; 2 attempts allowed; no study material provided. Full compliance file due by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to start date. COVID-19 vaccine required — Medical/Religious Exemptions Only. All travelers subject to float to any Cone Health campus if needed.
