- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; Structural Heart Scrub experience is an absolute must — do not screen without it; RN must be able to scrub for ALL procedures, not just diagnostic 2. Cases: Required — Balloon Angioplasty, PCI, Stents, Thrombectomy, Impella Insertion, Left & Right Heart Catheterization, Rotablader, Structural Heart & TAVR; Preferred — Watchman Procedures, Septal Closure, Ablations, Coil Embolization, Filter Placement; Complex procedures performed in lab include Laser Atherectomy, Peripheral Vascular Interventions, PFO/ASD Closures, EKOS, IABP; Traveler not expected to perform Watchman, Mitra Clip, or TAVR unless experienced 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; ARRT Advanced Cert preferred; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license pending is OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred; MAC Lab also used 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10-hour days, 07:00-17:30, Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week; call required one day per week and one weekend per four-week schedule; number can fluctuate if someone calls out; floating to EP could be required but rare; patient holding area inside Cath Lab may require occasional coverage; target ratio is 3 rooms 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing; call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancel and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees (PERM/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name and dates employed; facility approval needed; current travel per diem clinicians are not eligible for travel contracts and must choose one — include status and intent in submission 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower rate; travel pairs allowed but must be on different units and disclosed 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules are non-billable; time spent on modules should be margined separately from orientation hours; Acute Care approximately 8-10 hours; Non-Acute approximately 4-5 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually; conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13.
