- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Approximately 40 pediatric cases per year on unit; PALS not required for RNs as anesthesia is used for pediatric procedures 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; copies of certifications required; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by copy requirement); Hep B vaccine required — facility does not accept titers or declinations 4. License: AK RN License required; pending license accepted for submission but must be in hand for Auto Offer (processing takes 10-12 weeks) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10 Days; on-call required 1 day per week and every 4th/5th weekend (Friday at 1800 - Monday at 0730); approximately 1 Saturday per month as part of scheduled 4 shifts/week; may float to EP or IR Lab within department; guaranteed 70 hours per 2-week period with possibility of 1 call-off per 2 weeks 8. RTO: Only 1 time off request per 13-week assignment; must be included at time of submission; traveler must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff must be separated from Providence for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler; travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year before requiring a minimum 6-month break prior to returning 10. Travel/Local: No locals accepted; candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility; candidate can only be submitted to 1 location within the region (PAMC, Seward, Valdez, Saint Elias Specialty Hospital, and Kodiak) 11.
