- Unit Notes:General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements California CRT & ARRT also CT ARRT, Fluoro How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 2 Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties Brain, ABD, pelvis, spine, biopsies, drainage, extemities, angio, cryoablation Experience or 'Must have' skills At least 2 years' experience Average # of scans/studies per day 85-100 EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: Radnet & Merge PACS Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Canon 16 slice & Canon 80 Slice Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: Lead Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No Radiologist in-house? Yes on days and on call after normal hours Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department): No IR nurse will start IVs if needed or floor and ED nurses for their patients having a CT procedure Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 12Hr shifts Weekend Requirements: None Holiday Requirements: Yes - 1 major & 1 minor holiday Call or Standby requirement? Response time?
