- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Two years of actively doing echocardiograms preferred 2. Cases: Diagnostic echocardiograms on adults and pediatric patients; 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams 3. Certifications: A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required; BLS issued through American Heart Association required 4. License: State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License required 5. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year allied health education program that is patient care related required; allied health field (diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and/or registered nurse) preferred 6. EMR: Not specified 7. Shifts/Call: 4 Days - 10 Hours (7AM - 5:30PM); shares responsibility for on-call coverage for echo emergency exams done apart from regular working hours per department policy; no formal on-call requirement listed 8.
