- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum Cath Lab experience required; must be competent in all aspects of Cath Lab Diagnostic and Intervention including Structural; minimum 2 years RN experience required 2. Cases: LHC, RHC, PCI, CTO, Impella, IABP, ECMO, TPM, shock wave, IVUS, Pneumbra, TAVR, Watchman; Adult cardiology and structural cardiology 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT(BD) and ARRT(R) required; BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through American Heart Association (AHA); must be listed on application at submittal 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission but must have active WV license in hand to start; ARRT registered required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner charting system 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12hr DAYS 0830-2030; call is 2 weekday nights from 7pm to 630am and weekend call every 4-5 weeks starting Friday 7p to Monday am at 630am; 1 weekend Friday eve-Monday AM every 4-5 weeks 8. RTO: No restrictions; must be included at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 100 mile radius rule; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license reviewed case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Non-billable; 2-6 hours average completion time; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: First-timers not accepted - need experience traveling and in lab with all procedures 14. Scrubs: Provided by hospital 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Siemens Artiz Z & Q; Impella; IABP; Philips Volcano IVUS, BSC IVUS; CTO-abbott; Shockwave Critical: DO NOT SUB WITHOUT CATH LAB EXPERIENCE. WV does not consider RCIS as licensed to work in Cath Lab - traveler CANNOT be RCIS or RCES. Must be willing to stay until all cases completed. Two Manager or Charge Nurse references from past 2 years required. Current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible.
