- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; must be within the last 7 years; must support at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years 2. Cases: Required: Interventional Cath, Right and Left Heart Catheterization, Cardiac Stent Placement, Scrub/sterile field, Rotablator, Thrombectomy, PCI, PTCA, Balloon Angioplasty; Preferred: ACIST device, Watchman Procedures, Impella insertion, TAVI/TAVR, FFR, PFO closures; Special Procedures: Cardiac Cath Lab, Structural Heart 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; CCI RCIS or ARRT R required (either); must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: If traveler has ARRT, MD State License is required; MD locations must have compact or MD license; DC locations must have DC license in hand; copy of driver's license required at submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10 Day shift (0630-1700); 1-2 call shifts per weeknight Monday-Friday; 3-24 hours weekend call per month; orientation is weekly (36 hours) 8. RTO: No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment; RTO must be submitted at time of submittal and cannot be changed once profile is sent to manager; no more than 7 days per 13-week contract 9. Returning Staff: Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler; candidates may only be submitted to one MedStar location at a time 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius; locals accepted at lower rate; candidate address must match driver's license; copy of driver's license required at submittal 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Billable up to 4 hours; average duration is 12 hours; any time beyond 4 hours is non-billable and must be margined; completed pre-start and potentially during orientation; recorded via transcripts; must be completed within one week of signing contract or may result in cancellation; Cardiac specialty must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms 13.
