Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required within the last 7 years; must have completed at least 1 travel assignment prior to consideration; references must support at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years 2. Cases: Required: Interventional Cath, Cardiac Stent Placement, Scrub, Right and Left Heart Catheterization, Rotablader, Thrombectomy, Stents, PCI, PTCA, Balloon Angioplasty; Preferred: Watchman Procedures, Impella Insertion, TAVI/TAVR, FFR, PFO Closures, Structural Heart 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCI RCIS or ARRT R required (either one); all required at time of submission 4. License: MD State License required if traveler holds ARRT; MD locations must have compact or MD license; DC locations must have DC license in hand; copies required at submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; ACIST device use preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10 schedule, 0630-1700; 1-2 call shifts on weeknights Monday-Friday; 3-24 hours of weekend call per month; orientation is 36 hours 8. RTO: No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment; no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; RTO must be included at time of submittal and cannot be changed once profile is sent to manager 9. Returning Staff: Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler; candidates may be submitted to only one MedStar location at a time 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius; candidate address must match driver's license to determine local status; copy of driver's license required at submittal; locals accepted at a lower rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Billable up to 4 hours; any time beyond 4 hours is non-billable and must be margined; average module duration is 12 hours; completed pre-start and potentially during orientation; recorded via transcripts; must be completed within one week of signing contract or may result in cancellation; Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam required for Cardiac specialty — minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms 13. Travel Experience: Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment 14. Scrubs: Provided by the facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Phillips, Mac Lab; ACIST device preferred Critical: Labs and DS appointment must be completed within 48 hours of signing; failure to comply may result in cancellation. Manager interviews are not guaranteed. Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment. All submittals reviewed by clinical team.
