- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Renal and limb preservation patients (lower extremity), patients include ESRD, ARF, vascular procedures, CHF, diabetics, diabetic foot ulcers 3. Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS, NIH preferred; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 12 hour nights; every other weekend; float requirement; patient ratios 1:5-6 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less (not on holidays); anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week due to orientation; RTO after booking not allowed 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler; must disclose previous employment 10. Travel/Local: Under 50 miles offered lower local rate; unit will accept first-time travelers 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; acute care roles 8-10 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually; recorded via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: Unit will accept first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Not provided; colors must be navy or white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR; telemetry capability; ZOLL usage; EKG lead placement knowledge required Critical: Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Two manager/supervisor references from past 12 months highly preferred. Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week. Interview required before offer.
