Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: Various telemetry patients including chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemaker, or defibrillator cases 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Night shift 18:45-07:15; float to other telemetry units required; 4 weekend days in 6-week timeframe 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less if not on holiday; more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week due to orientation; RTO after booking not allowed 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler; facility rehire approval required 10. Travel/Local: Candidates under 50 miles offered lower local rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; Acute Care roles 8-10 hours; must be completed pre-start via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: Unit will accept first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Navy scrubs required; not provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Must be comfortable with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, Lasix and heparin Critical: Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Patient ratios 1:5-6. 36-hour orientation required.
