- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years total required with 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience; must have combo of 1 yr MS and 1 yr MS/tele, tele or PCU 2. Cases: Not specified 3. Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred but not required 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 12HR DAYS; 36h or 48 hrs accepted; every other weekend required; floating required to med surg mostly Sun-Thur every 3rd weekend 8. RTO: Auto approve 7 days or less (not on holidays); anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; RTO after booking not allowed 9. Returning Staff: Previous PERM/PRN/EP staff must wait 12 months before applying as traveler; facility rehire approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Candidates under 50 miles offered lower local rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 8-10 hours for acute care roles; non-billable; must be completed pre-start and annually; completed via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13.
