- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (HARDSTOP) 2. Cases: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture, CHF, UTI, surgical recovery cases, renal failure, hypertension, cellulitis, failure to thrive 3. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license (pending OK for submittal) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Nights 1845-0715, 36 or 48 hours, no call requirement, every other weekend, float required to main campus NHRMC 32 minutes away 8. RTO: 7 days MAX per contract, no holidays, must work 2 of 3 major holidays, no RTO during first week, all RTO must be pre-approved 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at lower rate; unit accepts first-time travelers 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Required, non-billable, expect 2-10 hours 13. Travel Experience: Unit accepts first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Navy blue or white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16.
