Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required; Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required 3. Certifications: ACLS required; BLS required; NIH preferred; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights, 36 hours only; floating required as needed with potential to float every shift 8. RTO: 7 days maximum for auto approval (no holidays); must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week due to orientation 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler; facility rehire approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Candidates under 50 miles offered lower local rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 8-10 hours for acute care roles; non-billable; completed pre-start via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not provided; Navy color required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine), Sheaths Pulls, TR Bands, Femstop Critical: Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Patient ratios 1:6-7. Weekend requirement 5-6 shifts per 6-week period. Storm/Hurricane team assignment required.
