Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: ICU stepdown patients, post rapid response team patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, post-op surgeries, pre/post OB with complications 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH certifications required 4. License: NC or Compact license required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights, every other weekend required, no block scheduling 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days auto-approved (no holidays), must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, no RTO during first week 9. Returning Staff: Previous Novant Health/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Candidates under 50 miles offered lower local rate 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; acute care roles 8-10 hours, completed pre-start via online learning/Zoom/webinar/in-person 13. Travel Experience: Accepts first-time travelers 14. Scrubs: Navy, white, or combination of the two 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Bedside telemetry monitors, A-lines, BIPAP's, chest tubes, tracheostomies Critical: Must complete lab work within 48 hours after signing. Must pass EKG testing prior to start. Two manager references from past 12 months highly preferred. Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week.
