- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required (2 years preferred); first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: Must have telemetry and cardiac/stroke experience; cardiac drip experience required including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone and Lasix; renal patients; all modes of oxygenation except vents 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH required; pending certifications accepted but must obtain prior to start 4. License: Valid state license must be pending or candidate must participate in Aya licensure project; must be active prior to start date 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Nights 1900-0730; every other weekend; every other holiday; patient ratio 1:4 days, 1:5 nights; float to like or lesser units 8. RTO: Maximum 10 days; if during holidays must work 1 of 3 holidays 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 3 years before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Must live outside 50 miles; locals not accepted 11. Background: Nursys only 12. Modules: Up to 8 hours completed pre-start within 1 week of signing; billable up to 8 hours; self-reported; average 3-8 hours 13. Travel Experience: Not required as first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Royal Blue or White 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Rescue nurse available for bedside procedures (TEE, cardioversion); hemodialysis beds Critical: Must pass telemetry rhythm identification quiz. Professional conduct issues may result in immediate contract termination.
