Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Medical diagnosis with focus on pulmonary patients; adult acute care patients requiring specialized care; patient ratio 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg 3. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS also listed in requirements 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit - no exceptions 5. Education: Foreign education must be verified - alert account manager at submittal 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 nights 1900-0700; every other weekend; float to ICU or MS required 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; pre-approved time off limited to one 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles not accepted; first time travelers accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Pre-start modules billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours with excess non-billable; recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required 14. Scrubs: Any combo of navy and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown; COVID-19 vaccine not required 16. Special Equipment: Cardiac monitoring, telemetry, central lines, arterial lines, BIPAP support, vasoactive drips management Critical: 24-hour orientation; patient ratios 3:1 days, 4:1 nights, 3:1 weekends; 26-bed IMCU step-down unit.
