Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; minimum 1 year experience required; must have strong neuro experience 2. Cases: Neuroscience blended unit PCU; stroke, seizures, dementia, neuromuscular disorders; neurosurgery patients with head, neck, back trauma and elective surgeries; ENT patients with radical neck surgery due to trauma, cancer 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: VA or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: EOW and 2 holidays per contract as applicable; weekend coverage required; 24 orientation hours 8. RTO: RTO should be included at time of submission, approved by unit manager on WOC; no other guaranteed time off; no time off during first week of assignment; one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same base rate; no radius rules for applicants 11. Background: Facility will review all background hits 12. Modules: All candidates assigned modules during orientation on VCU Learning Exchange; non-billable, average 6 hours factored in NBO; must be completed by Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: Trauma Level I experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Natural nail policy 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Telemetry; interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias Critical: Candidates will float within scope if needed. Two references required. Must address shift availability upfront. ER and Psych candidates require fingerprinting with 15-20 business day turnaround.
