Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Adult progressive surgical, oncology, palliative care and progressive acute care patients receiving chemotherapy 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain; if not in hand at submission, start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period; Float required with 1 hour notice; Patient ratio nights: 4 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; RTO blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26; No RTO during first week of orientation 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits (for RRT and Radiology) 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week; 24 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 14. Scrubs: MANDATORY - Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: Drips required on all floors Critical: 100% nicotine free facility. Must work 2/3 major holidays. Will float within scope including to Bellevue campus. Must attend labs within 48-72 hours of accepting offer. All contracts must end on Sunday.
