- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required; 1 year MS/Tele and 2 years Stepdown experience 2. Cases: Stepdown/Immediate Care Unit; cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology procedures, med/surg and medical patients 3. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required; must be via American Heart Association; copies required in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license acceptable; Nursys pulled within 2 days of submission date 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights 7p-7a, weekdays and some weekends; block scheduling; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Holiday requests limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays; blocked schedules considered for weekend blocks only 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last date worked permanent 10. Travel/Local: Must have permanent address greater than 100 miles from facility; 75-100 miles considered case-by-case 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case basis 12. Modules: 8 hours average, non-billable, completed prior to start, not included in 16 hours NBO 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Not provided; burgundy and/or white required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical exemptions only 16.
