- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years TELE/PCU experience required 2. Cases: Medicine/pulmonary cases including COPD, CHF, vascular issues, endocarditis, acute ESRD, DKA; step-down unit from ICU 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; compliance requirements include EKG Onboarding exam, Math exam, Med/Pharmacology exam, Progressive Care Competency exam, Progressive Care skills, CORE exams 4. License: Compact or KY State License required at time of submission; will NOT accept any licensure hits 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Not specified 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required; weekend coverage required; ratio up to 1:4-5; PACU call policy includes 1-hour response time, weekday call 8PM-6AM, weekend shifts 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM, 2-3 call shifts per 6-week schedule 8. RTO: Must be presented at time of submission; any time off sent after offer will not be approved 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone for 6 months to return as traveler; must note if previously worked at facility for rehire eligibility check 10. Travel/Local: Local travelers within 100 miles not accepted; Cath Lab RN, IR RN, and Radiology 75 miles; all other specialties 100 miles 11. Background: Must disclose if previously worked at facility; rehire eligibility checked by HR every Friday 12. Modules: Billable, average 6.5 hours, not included in NBO hours; completed during orientation and annually 13. Travel Experience: Accepts first time travelers 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Insulin drips, heparin drips, possible cardiac drips; telemetry monitoring Critical: Level 1 trauma experience required. Must be comfortable with various drips. References required. Candidates will float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals.
