- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required in specialty (unless specified otherwise in job description) 2. Cases: Combined PCU and MS unit with emphasis on neuro patients, epilepsy patients, dysrhythmias management, pre/post neurosurgery, seizure disorders 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; must be AHA certified 4. License: Compact or KY State License required at time of submission; will not accept any licensure hits 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend coverage required; patient ratio 1:3-4 usually, may surge to 1:5 on rare occasions 8. RTO: Must be presented at time of submission; any time off sent after offer will not be approved 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone for 6 months to return as traveler; must disclose previous work history at facility for rehire eligibility check 10. Travel/Local: Local travelers within 100 miles not accepted at this facility 11. Background: University of Kentucky will not accept any licensure hits 12.
