- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years recent specialty experience required; must have full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days; cardiac experience required; teaching hospital experience required 2. Cases: Cardiac cases required 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required 4. License: Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting system experience required; 3 hours pre-start EPIC modules; RNs can choose EPIC test out option or EPIC module 7. Shifts/Call: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed; no on-call required; ratios 1:5 (may flex to 1:6); weekend ratios 1:4 8. RTO: 7 day maximum RTO 9. Returning Staff: Tenure policy 18 months with 3-month break in service required 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius considered local; locals not accepted; floating required between departments, units and facilities 11. Background: Drug screening required; diluted or positive results result in cancellation and 6-month waiting period 12. Modules: 10-15 hours modules due Monday 1 week prior to start; 3 hours pre-start EPIC modules non-billable; infusion pump and glucometer training due Sunday before start 13.
