- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year; Level 1 trauma experience required 2. Cases: High acuity orthopedic patients, post op care of orthopedic trauma patients, total joints, ORIF any fracture, laminectomy, hand surgery, bladder suspension, some gyn surgeries, some eye surgeries 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required 4. License: Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required; 3 hours of pre-start Epic modules required; RNs have choice to complete Epic test out option or Epic module 7. Shifts/Call: On-call required 1-2 weekdays per week and 2 weekends per 13 weeks; 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period; holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed; guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days 9. Returning Staff: Tenure policy for travel roles is 18 months with 3-month break in service required 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted; 75-mile radius rule applies; candidates within 75 miles considered local 11. Background: If drug screen results come back diluted or positive and cannot be cleared by MRO, assignment will be canceled and candidate must wait 6 months before re-applying 12. Modules: 10-15 hours of modules due Monday 1 week prior to start; pre-start modules non-billable; infusion pump training and glucometer training must be completed by Sunday prior to start date 13.
