- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; 1-2 years preferred experience, will accept first time travelers 2. Cases: Cardiac step down unit; post-cardiothoracic surgery patients, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, post op AICD/Pacemakers; patients with VADs, ultrafiltration, groin management 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; will take pending certifications; traveler agrees to obtain all required certs prior to start 4. License: Valid state license must be pending or candidate must be willing to participate in the Aya licensure project; must be active by start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Nights (1900-0730); no call requirement; every other weekend; may float to other stepdown or medical units 8. RTO: Maximum 10 days; if RTO during holidays, must work 1 of the 3 holidays; 1 holiday per contract 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 3 years before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Must be outside 50 miles; will not take locals 11. Background: Nursys only 12. Modules: Up to 8 hours within 1 week of signing; average 3-8 hours; completed pre-start; self-reported; billable up to 8 hours 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required 14. Scrubs: Royal color provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Tele, cardiac meds, infusion experience required; must interpret cardiac rhythms; experience with cardiac medications and infusions required Critical: Patient ratios 5:1 nights, 4:1 days, 4:1 weekends; 36 guaranteed hours; 24 orientation hours; COVID-19 vaccine required.
