- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; 18 months minimum with exceptions per unit 2. Cases: ED boarding patients (MedSurg/PCU level), CVA, MS/Tele patients; acuity ranges from MedSurg to PCU/stepdown/ICU level 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH required 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent application submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s, every other weekend required, no on-call 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Former IU employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER positions; out-of-state requires 3 month break, in-state requires 6 month break to reset eligibility 11. Background: Policy noted prior to submission for approval before offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first timers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16.
