- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: Med/surg tele unit for ED boarder patients; overflow unit with 14 beds 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required 4. License: NY license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Not specified (alert if foreign education needs verification) 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: EOW weekend coverage, 4 weekend shifts per contract; float required to ED holding patients 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; minimal RTO preferred 9. Returning Staff: 1 year policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Up to 5 hours billable, total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Unit accepts first time travelers 14. Scrubs: Navy blue/white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement required.
