Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: MedSurg cases with 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio; acute stroke patient and neurological disorders care 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH (NIHSS) required 4. License: NY license required in hand - no exceptions 5. Education: Foreign education must be verified if applicable 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights 1900-0700; every other weekend; candidates will float 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Must be 75+ mile radius; candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours; excess of 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any combo of navy and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Cardiac monitoring, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank Critical: Skills required include blood product administration, CVA care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, peripheral line care, rapid response/code team use, and wound care.
