- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Heart and vascular patients, stable heart and lung transplants, Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs) 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH, CPI preferred 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain, must be in hand at submission or start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hour option; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period; floating required with 2 hours notice 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted, must be submitted with application; blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26; no RTO during first week of orientation 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits for RRT and Radiology 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first timers NOT accepted unless 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center 14. Scrubs: Mandatory Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo; provided by facility or purchased 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs), cardiac drips, vasoactive drips Critical: 100% nicotine free facility. Patient ratios 1:5 days/1:6 nights (can be 1:7 nights rarely). Must work 2/3 major holidays. Labs required within 48-72 hours of accepting offer.
