Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required (must have 2 years experience in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Trauma patients - medical/surgical unit providing care with focus on acute and chronic needs for hemodynamically and medically stable patients 3. Certifications: BLS required, CPI required; must be available for lab work within 48-72 hours of accepting offer 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain - if not in hand at submission, start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Patient ratios 1:5 days/1:6 nights (can be 1:7 nights rarely); 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26; no RTO during first week of orientation 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits for RRT and Radiology 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week; 24 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Required; first timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 14. Scrubs: Mandatory - Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo on back (provided by facility or purchased) 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: Required drip experience - Nitro, Heparin, Insulin (non-DKA); may encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, Lasix Critical: 100% nicotine free facility. Must work 2/3 major holidays. Travelers first to float frequently. Contract must end on Sunday.
