- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of prior Telemetry experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Total Knee and Hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CPI, NIH preferred 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; takes 4-6 weeks to obtain, must be in hand at submission or start date will be six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in 4-week period; float required with 1 hour notice 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26; no RTO during first week of orientation 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must be more than 100 miles from facility; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Do not submit candidates with license hits (for RRT and Radiology) 12. Modules: Mandatory charting class Friday of orientation week; 24 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first timers NOT accepted (will consider if 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 14. Scrubs: MANDATORY Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo; information provided once confirmed 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: Required drips include Nitro, Heparin, Insulin (non-DKA); may encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, Lasix Critical: 100% nicotine free facility. Must work 2/3 major holidays. Patient ratios 1:5 days/1:6 nights (can be 1:7 nights rarely). Labs required within 48-72 hours of accepting offer. Contracts end on Sundays.
