- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required (18 months experience required per compliance notes) 2. Cases: Mixed acuity unit - medical patients with some PCU level care; oncology and stroke unit; must have solid neuro experience; cardizem, amiodarone, lasix, insulin drips; post heart cath and post pacemaker experience required 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required 4. License: Must have IN state, compact, or IN temp license in hand prior to start; pending license accepted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12; float required as needed; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Any PERM or PRN employee must be away for 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated break after 12 months travel employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals NOT accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions; out-of-state residents require 3 month break, in-state residents require 6 month break to reset eligibility 11. Background: Background policy to be noted prior to submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: 36 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Red top, black bottoms 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Patient ratios: MS 1:5-6, PCU 1:3-4. Floating 100% required to hospital or affiliate hospitals.
