- Unit Notes:OSF ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles (-$25 to regular and OT bill rates) - OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift - Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: - Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN - Clinician's middle initial - Requested time off - Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated - Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels This is an inpatient pediatric speech therapy position located within the NICU. Applicants should have experiance within the NICU. General job duties. Assessing and providing intervention to guide feeding plans for preterm and medically complex infants in a level 4 NICU. All care is provided using a neuro-protective, trauma-informed care, and family-centered model. 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Documentation using EPIC. 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Must have NICU experience that is heavily focused on feeding of preterm and medically complex infants, must have Dysphagia experience 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) SLP, CCC 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) 7:30 4:00 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Unlikely to float to other departments but if experience with PIC/ PICU may be an option 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 65 bed NICCU 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 9. Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual 10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Is this inpatient rehab, outpatient, or acute? This is an inpatient position within a level 4 NICU Education: Master s degree Licensure/ Certification: Respective state temporary license with the supervision of a Licensed Speech Pathologist for 18 months. Respective state temporary license while completing Clinical Fellowship Year or respective state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech Language. Hearing Association (ASHA) Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Previous experience as Speech Pathologist Licensure/ Certification: Valid state driver's license, as verified through the respective state Department of Motor vehicles driving record abstract. Other Skills/ Knowledge: Analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests, conduct swallowing evaluations, evaluate patients' capabilities, develop treatment plans and monitor patients' progress.
