- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year experience required 2. Cases: Respiratory failure, Dysphagia, ICU myelopathy, Cardiac, Vascular, Pulmonary - medically complex 3. Certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP, MBSImP required; BLS must be American Heart Association 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license acceptable but must have active in hand to start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 8-hour days 0800-1630; one weekend per month required; 40 guaranteed hours 8. RTO: No restrictions - discuss during interview; RTO should be included on application at submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last day worked permanent; current Vandalia Health System employees not eligible 10. Travel/Local: 100-mile radius rule; 75-99 miles considered case-by-case basis at same rate 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case basis 12. Modules: 2-6 hours average, non-billable, completed prior to start, vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Must have travel experience - no first time travelers (manager may consider depending on experience) 14. Scrubs: Black scrubs required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required October 1st - March 31st; medical exemptions only with allergy documented by allergist or physician 16.
