Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have critical care experience within last 12 months; Level 1 Trauma experience preferred 2. Cases: Adult trauma and burns, trach patients, spinal cord injury, complex sleep disordered breathing; experience with BPICU, SICU, MICU and NSICU 3. Certifications: BLS required, RRT credentialed required; ACLS, NRP, PALS listed with asterisks 4. License: WA license required (compact or single state acceptable) 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience huge plus but not required; Epic module completed during orientation is billable 7. Shifts/Call: 3 - 12 hour shifts 0630-1800, must work all scheduled shifts, every other weekend required, no on-call 8. RTO: Keep to minimum, cannot accommodate RTO during orientation week 9. Returning Staff: Prior UW staff must be separated 18 months before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no difference in bill rate, candidates will float within hospital 11. Background: Must disclose any background hits, DUIs at time of submission 12. Modules: Non-billable (RN: 5-6 hours, Allied: 2-3 hours), completed pre-start except Epic module; WA suicide prevention training may require additional 6 hours 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any solid color scrubs, light blue provided on unit 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Hamilton G5, Servo U, Zoll, LTV, Trilogy ventilators; Cough Assist/MIE and LP/LPV required Critical: Two references required upon submittal (preferably supervisory). Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
