Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum required 2. Cases: Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, COVID-19 populations, newborn stabilization, pediatric care, may perform occasional EKG after hours 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP required; PALS, RRT, STABLE preferred; must be in hand prior to submitting 4. License: NY state license required in hand to submit 5. Education: Foreign education must be verified - alert account manager at submittal 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: Candidates will float; work alone or with second therapist 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; only one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles not accepted; first time travelers accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours; excess over 5 hours non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Preferred vents - Servo I, LTV, Hamilton T1 Critical: Community hospital experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred; 24/7 respiratory therapy department covering 6-bed ICU, ER, M/S, PEDS; 100-bed facility with 12-18 daily census.
