- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; Children's hospital experience within last 3 years required; open to travelers with level 1 adult facility experience 2. Cases: Must have L&D experience as primary placement; NICU, PICU, or Peds experience required 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT required; NRP required for L&D placement; PALS preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: Indiana State License required; accepts IN temp but must have applied for both temp and permanent 5. Education: Must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA; university must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12's every other weekend; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Can auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks after 12 months travel employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; locals accepted for surgical services, allied positions, IU clinics at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER positions 11. Background: Must note background policy prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted; 18 months experience required with unit-specific exceptions 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Children's hospital experience in last 5 years required; may screen strong clinician with Level I Trauma Adult facility Critical: Written confirmation required that traveler is comfortable with every other weekend requirement.
