- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum; Children's Hospital experience within last 3 years required (may accept Level 1 adult facility experience) 2. Cases: Must have L&D experience (primarily L&D placement), NICU experience required 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP (required for L&D), PALS preferred; must be in hand to submit 4. License: Indiana State License required; must be in hand prior to start date 5. Education: Must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA; University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12's with every other weekend required 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Former IU employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local at lower rate; locals not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER positions but accepted for surgical services, allied, and IU clinics 11. Background: Must note background policy prior to submission for approval 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Various respiratory equipment skills required Critical: Written confirmation required that traveler accepts every other weekend requirement. 100% floating required to NICU and Peds Acute Care.
