- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years with 18 months recent ICU; 18 months minimum experience required 2. Cases: Adult Critical Care 3. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, RRT (NBRC); copies required at submission 4. License: IN license required; must be in hand prior to start date 5. Education: Must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA; University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: Every Weekend required (Sat/Sun plus two rotating weekdays) 8. RTO: Can auto-approve 5 days of non-holiday RTO or less; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any PERM or PRN employee of IU must be away for 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks for eligibility reset 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; eligible local travelers offered in-state rate at lower BR; locals not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions but accepted for Surgical Services, Allied positions, and IU Clinics 11. Background: Policy to be noted prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), mechanical ventilation equipment Critical: Written confirmation required that traveler is comfortable with every weekend requirement.
