- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; must have Children's Hospital experience within last 3 years or level 1 adult facility experience 2. Cases: Must have L&D experience (primarily placed in L&D), NICU or PICU experience required 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT, NRP (required for L&D placement), PALS preferred; must be in hand to submit 4. License: Indiana State License required; must be in hand prior to start date 5. Education: Must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA; university must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s or 4x12s D/N; every other weekend required; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 8. RTO: Can auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO; more requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Former PERM/PRN employees must be away 12 months; consecutive contract policy requires breaks after 12 months travel employment 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; accepted for surgical/allied positions at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER 11. Background: Must note background policy prior to submission for approval 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical/religious exemptions only 16.
