Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; Children's hospital experience within last 3 years required (may accept strong clinician with Level I Trauma Adult facility experience) 2. Cases: Must have L&D experience as primary placement; NICU or PICU experience required 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBRC RRT required; NRP required for L&D placement; PALS preferred; must be obtained prior to start 4. License: Indiana State License required; accepts IN temp license if permanent application submitted; must be in hand prior to start date 5. Education: Must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA; University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 shifts; every other weekend required; floating 100% required 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; accepted for surgical services, allied positions, and IU clinics at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER positions 11. Background: Must note background policy prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16.
