Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; 4 years preferred 2. Cases: NICU assignments vary based on acuity; adult critical care, ED, ICU experience preferred; Level II trauma experience required 3. Certifications: BLS, CRTT, ACLS required (90-day window from start date to obtain ACLS); NRP and RRT preferred; must be obtained prior to start 4. License: VA License or Compact required at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred/required 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend required, every other holiday; potential mandatory on-call 2-3 shifts per month; night shift position 8. RTO: At manager's discretion; need to add week at end if requesting more than 7 days; only 1 holiday request for OR/CST 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 1 year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: No radius rule; locals accepted at same rate; will float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals 11. Background: Nursys only background policy 12. Modules: 8 hours average, completed pre-start via WorkRamp, non-billable 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Wine color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Preferred vents - Servo U, Servo Air, Servo N; airway management, ABGs, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers Critical: Must float to ER and Adult ICU Stepdown units. Traveler expected to be Team Lead at times. Monthly department meeting attendance or acknowledgment required.
