- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; must have level 4 NICU experience; cardiac PICU experience preferred 2. Cases: NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, acute care pediatrics; patients include neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents 3. Certifications: RRT cert, BLS, NRP required; PALS and ACCS preferred; copy of certifications required with submission; RRT travelers must have license in-hand at time of submission 4. License: VA State License required; can submit with VA license pending provided can obtain temp before start, must have another state license to be eligible for temp; license must be in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required unless otherwise noted 7. Shifts/Call: 13 weeks, nights, can offer 36 or 48 hours; every other weekend, every other holiday; self scheduling model 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; NO RTO FOR 7/4 ALLOWED; no additional RTO requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at UVA Health system; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of time off between contracts; facility does not allow return after 365 days despite separation period 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not listed as having mile radius rule 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; excess hours are billable; completed during orientation, vary by specialty; recorded in Workday 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14.
