- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; must have level 4 NICU experience; cardiac PICU experience preferred 2. Cases: NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, acute care pediatrics; children's hospital respiratory therapist 3. Certifications: RRT cert, BLS, NRP required; PALS preferred; copies required with submission; RRT travelers must have license in-hand at time of submission 4. License: VA license required; can submit with VA license pending provided can obtain temp before start, must have another state license to be eligible for temp; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required unless otherwise noted 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hours available; nights; every other weekend, every other holiday; self-scheduling model 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; no RTO for 5/25 and 7/4 allowed; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform if previously employed at UVA Health system; must be separated for one year and approved by leadership; cannot return after working 365 days regardless of separation period 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not listed as having radius rule 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed during orientation; vary by specialty; recorded in Workday 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
