Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: At least 2 years Critical Care experience required 2. Cases: Adult critical care experience; Cardiovascular ICU and Medical-Surgical ICU cases including post-cardiac surgery, heart/lung transplant, ECMO, IABP, Impella, ARDS, septic shock 3. Certifications: NBRC RRT certification, BLS, ACLS required 4. License: SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) or NBRC; SC license must be in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12hr shifts 7A-7:30p with holidays required; every other weekend; no on-call 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at time of submission; 7 days or less non-holiday RTO for auto offers 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent staff must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius rule; locals considered case-by-case at 10% less than posted bill rate; non-locals prioritized 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: 4 hours average, non-billable, included in NBO hours, completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: First-timers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Caribbean Blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: ECMO, IABP, Impella, temporary mechanical circulatory support Critical: Hurricane season emergency response teams required June-November. Facility can call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
