- Unit Notes:OSF ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles (-$25 to regular and OT bill rates) - OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift - Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: - Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN - Clinician's middle initial - Requested time off - Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated - Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels Unit DMCC - Acute Rehab Unit - # Beds: 29 - Ratios: 5:1 days 6:1 nights - Required Certifications: BLS - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro, Neurosurgery, Amputations, multi- trauma, Cardiac, complex medical (trachs- no vents) - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Need strong Neuro Skills - Are RN's required to titrate drips : No - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: only heparin - Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips? We can have tele, but not monitored by RN- just use tele packs - Are RN's required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab?: Yes, they are required to. - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: We only have house supervisors at this time, no charge nurses - Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios: Yes they have a 1:9/ 10 ratio - PT/OT/SLP/Pulmonary or Cardiac Rehab?: PT/OT/ST - RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow) : CPAP/Bipap only at night for sleep apnea/ Nasal canual- can do hi flo canula but no heated hi flo - Shifts & Scheduling: day shift 7a-7:30p nights 7p-7:30a - Weekend Requirement: every other weekend - Holiday Requirement: holiday rotation- every other - Call or Standby Requirement: no - Floating Requirements : yes - float to LTAC/ med-surg- they will not float to HAU unless trained - Scrub Color/Dress Code: any color scrubs- no t-shirts unless approved - Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 2 days class orientation and then 2-3 days/ nights with a preceptor- will have to learn QRP and specific rehab documentation as well Cancellation Policy:12 hours per 13 weeks Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes, willing to wait Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:12hr Nights Required Certifications:BLS (AHA)
