- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year minimum; minimum 1 year scrub experience required, can screen for less; needs scrub experience on Neuro 2. Cases: 13-17 daily case load; vascular studies/procedures, Neuro experience including stroke and body work, all IR procedures including stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity, abd and pelvic, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access and neurological studies 3. Certifications: BLS and ARRT required; ARRT Advanced Cert preferred 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submission, required in hand at time of start 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred; EPIC and Visage preferred 7. Shifts/Call: First shift with call, staggered start time between 0700 and 0830 for 8 hours/day M-F; weekends and evenings/nights on call rotation; primary and backup call rotation 8. RTO: RTO after booking not allowed and not allowed to be worked out onsite; can auto approve 7 days of RTO or less as long as it does not fall on a holiday; candidate MUST WORK 2 out of 3 major holidays; no RTO allowed during first week due to orientation 9. Returning Staff: Any previous PERM/PRN/EP staff employee of Novant Health or New Hanover must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; must note previous employment details in submission packet; facility rehire approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Travel experience required - does not accept first time travelers; locals accepted; candidate's permanent address under 50 miles offered at lower local rate 11. Modules: Modules are non-billable; Acute Care roles 8-10 hours of modules, Non-Acute roles 4-5 hours of modules; must be completed pre-start and annually via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes 13. Hospital orientation week one - traveler must be available for classes each day. Two manager/supervisor references from within past 12 months highly preferred. Fatigue Policy: cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week.
