Requirements
- Required certification: Rad Tech - Interventional Radiology
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1-3 years of experience required in IR with skill in VIR and neuro; 2 years experience required in specialty 2. Cases: Interventional neuro, vascular, CT/US guided procedures; venous access, ablations, angiograms, nephogram, stroke thrombectomy, GI bleed, Y-90, peripherals; kyphoplasty preferred 3. Certifications: ARRT(R), BLS, RTR or RTRVI required; ACLS and ARRT Advanced Cert preferred; must be proficient in scrubbing as first assist and circulating 4. License: KY Radiation Operator's License required before start date; Compact or KY State License required at submission; will not accept any licensure hits 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC experience preferred; must be proficient in filming and charging exams in EPIC 7. Shifts/Call: 4-10 hour shifts M-F with rotating day off; 1-2 call shifts per week; 1 weekend per 6 weeks; 30-minute call back time; 2 call teams (primary and backup) 8. RTO: Must be presented at time of submission; any time off sent after offer will not be approved; two pre-approved time off periods 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone for 6 months to return as traveler; must know at submission if previously worked at facility 10. Travel/Local: Local travelers within 75 miles not accepted; IR/Radiology local radius is 75 miles 11. Background: Must note at submission if previously worked at facility for rehire eligibility check 12. Modules: Modules are billable, average 6.5 hours, not included in NBO hours; completed during orientation and annually 13. Travel Experience: Level 1 trauma experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Siemens single and Bi-plane equipment, McKesson PACS; Phillips, Acuson, Sonosite, Mindray, Epiq preferred Critical: COVID-19 vaccine required. References required. Advanced level knowledge on NIR and VIR procedures required. Advanced registry boards for VI or CV preferred.
